CTV Walking Wednesday: How to dress for Calgary Winter Walkabouts

If you want some tips on how to dress for winter walkabout, check out my CTV segment.
Key points
1. Layer up: Temperatures change rapidly in Calgary. With many layers you can adjust your temperature.
2. Get a pair of traction devices for your shoes or boots. Post-Chinook Calgary can be VERY slippery. Traction devices will keep you upright and injury free.
3. Down is your friend at -20 or below. A long down jacket will keep your butt warm. This is really important (in my opinion)
Now get out there and enjoy some winter walks. How about at Jackrabbit Trail at the Glenmore Reservoir photo below. Route map in my guidebook, Calgary’s Best Walks.
Look at how happy (and silly) I look while covered in frost!
